The Diocese of Alexandria is a Latin Church diocese in central Louisiana, erected in 1853 (originally as the Diocese of Natchitoches) and suffragan to the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Bishop Robert W. Marshall Jr. has served as the 13th bishop since his installation in August 2020.

History
Central Louisiana in the United States is served by this Catholic diocese (Latin: Diœcesis Alexandrina in Louisiana), a suffragan see within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of New Orleans. St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria is its cathedral, and Robert W. Marshall is the current bishop.
