History
Carved out of the Diocese of Liège in 1967, the Diocese of Hasselt (Latin: Dioecesis Hasseletensis) takes in the whole of Belgian Limburg. This Latin Church diocese is suffragan to the metropolitan Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels, and its cathedra stands in St. Quentin's Cathedral in Hasselt.
