Latin-rite diocese in western Belarus, the most heavily Catholic region of the country. Erected 13 April 1991 from territory of the Archdiocese of Vilnius and a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Minsk-Mohilev. Its cathedral is the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis Xavier in Grodno.
