Latin-rite diocese in Maniema Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, erected as an Apostolic Vicariate on 10 January 1952 from the vicariates of Baudouinville and Kivu and promoted to diocese on 10 November 1959. It covers 75,365 km2 and is a suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bukavu.
