Latin Church
Latin-rite metropolitan archdiocese in Liaoning province, northeastern China, tracing to the Apostolic Vicariate of Liaotung erected in 1838 from the Diocese of Beijing and elevated to metropolitan archdiocese in 1946. Its seat is the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Shenyang, and its suffragans include Chifeng, Fushun, Jilin, Jehol, Siping, Yanji and Yingkou. Archbishop Paul Pei Junmin has led the see since 2008.

In northeastern PR China, the Archdiocese of Shenyang (Latin: Fomtienen(sis); Chinese: 瀋陽, 奉天) stands as a Latin Metropolitan archdiocese. Its cathedral episcopal see is a Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province.
