History
Between Venice and Udine, at the northern end of the Adriatic Sea in northeastern Italy, lies the Diocese of Concordia-Pordenone (Latin: Dioecesis Concordiensis-Portus Naonis). Concordia Veneta has been a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Venice since 1818. When the Provincial Council of the Provincia Veneta met in October 1859, Bishop Andrea Casasola attended as a suffragan of Cardinal Giuseppe Luigi Trevisanato, Patriarch of Venice. The diocese received its present name in 1971.
