The Diocese of Fairbanks is a Latin Rite diocese covering northern and western Alaska, erected in 1962. Geographically the largest diocese in the United States, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau and is led by Bishop Steven J. Maekawa.

History
Covering the northern part of the state of Alaska, the Diocese of Fairbanks (Latin: Dioecesis de Fairbanks) is geographically the largest diocese in the United States. Its mother church is the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Fairbanks, and its bishop is Steven Maekawa.
