The Archdiocese of Zadar is a Latin Church archdiocese on the Croatian Adriatic coast, made an archdiocese by Pope Anastasius IV in 1154. It is the only Croatian archdiocese immediately subject to the Holy See and not part of any ecclesiastical province. Milan Zgrablić has been archbishop since January 2023.

History

Established as a diocese in the 3rd century AD and raised to an archdiocese by the Pope Anastasius IV in 1154, the Archdiocese of Zadar (Latin: Archidioecesis Iadrensis; Croatian: Zadarska nadbiskupija) is a Latin Church territory of the Catholic church in Croatia. As of 2025 it stands outside every Croatian ecclesiastical province, the only Croatian archdiocese directly subject to the Holy See.
