Latin-rite diocese in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, erected as an apostolic vicariate by Pius XII in 1958 and elevated to diocese by John XXIII on March 10, 1962. It is suffragan of the Archdiocese of Daegu, with its seat at the Naedeok-dong Cathedral of the Holy Family in Cheongju.

History
Located in Cheongju, South Korea, the Diocese of Cheongju (Latin: Dioecesis Cheongiuensis) belongs to the Latin Church of the Catholic Church and is suffragan to the Archdiocese of Daegu. Gabriel Chang Bong-hun, appointed in 1999, is the current bishop.
