Lahoren(sis)

The Archdiocese of Lahore is the Latin rite metropolitan see of Punjab, Pakistan, with the Dioceses of Faisalabad, Islamabad-Rawalpindi and Multan as suffragans. Erected in 1880 as the Vicariate Apostolic of the Punjab, it became the Diocese of Lahore in 1886 and was elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese on 23 April 1994. Its seat is Sacred Heart Cathedral in Lahore.
