Latin-rite mission sui iuris for the British South Atlantic islands of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, erected on 18 August 1986 from the Archdiocese of Cape Town. It has three churches, principal among them Sacred Heart Church in Jamestown, and is led by an ecclesiastical superior, Fr. Tom Thomas, I.C., appointed 18 July 2024, who also serves the linked Falkland Islands prefecture-mission.
