The Diocese of Aosta in the Aosta Valley of northwestern Italy dates to the mid-fifth century, with its first documented bishop, Eustasius, recorded in 451. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Turin, and its current bishop, Franco Lovignana, was appointed in 2011.
