Diocese of Divinópolis to host 1st Santa Edwiges Run

The Diocese of Divinópolis will host the 1st Santa Edwiges Run on October 24, 2026, in Divinópolis. Organized by Fabrício Reis and friends, the event celebrates the 40 years of the Santa Edwiges community and is supported by members and partners of the Paróquia do Santuário Senhor Bom Jesus.

The 5 km race will begin at 17h at the Complexo de Esportes in the Mangabeiras neighborhood on Rua Maria Generosa. Organizers stated the event will take place in any weather conditions. Participants must complete the entire course and collect checkpoint markers to validate their results and receive a finisher medal.

Athletes must be at least 14 years old to participate, and those under 18 require authorization from a legal guardian. The race will award trophies to the 5 first overall finishers in both male and female categories, as well as the 3 first finishers in each age group. All participants who successfully complete the course will receive a medal.
