The Italian Episcopal Conference is observing a national day on September 20 to raise awareness for the financial support of the clergy. The service for the promotion of economic support to the Catholic Church uses this day to remind the faithful that supporting priests helps sustain the work they perform within their communities.

The Diocese of Acqui notes that people can provide this support through tax-deductible offerings. The diocese states that assisting parish priests serves to support the entire community and the various activities priests generate around them each day.
