2026 Faith That Works Award Recipient: Dorene Schuster

Dorene Schuster has received the 2026 Faith That Works Award for integrating her religious life into her business, Greenleaf Landscaping & Gardens. Schuster and her husband, Ken, have owned the landscaping and garden company in Greenleaf since 1984.

As a landscape designer, Schuster incorporates prayer into the daily operations of the business. Employees participate in morning prayer sessions to pray for one another and for customers. The company also invites staff to attend morning Mass on the first Friday of every month, followed by a breakfast. Schuster noted that while she was initially nervous to invite her employees to participate in these religious practices, the tradition has since become a significant part of the workplace culture.
