The Church honors the memory of Saint Condrat the Apostle of Magnesia on September 21. According to Saint Jerome, Condrat was a disciple of the apostles who served as the bishop of Athens, succeeding Publius.

The Eparchy of Wrocław-Koszalin reports that Condrat worked to reunite the scattered Church in Athens through his faith and zeal. During the reign of Emperor Hadrian in 126, Condrat sent the emperor a letter to defend Christians. Although the emperor issued a decree stating that no Christian should be condemned without clear evidence of guilt, the order was not followed. While the full letter was lost over time, fragments survive through the historian Eusebius.

Condrat also wrote an epistle to a pagan philosopher named Diognet to explain the Christian faith. In this surviving text, Condrat describes Christians as people who are not distinguished from others by origin, homeland, or language, but who live in the body without being defined by it and live by a standard that transcends earthly laws.
