Diocese of Guarulhos attends 22nd Congress of Family Pastoral Care

Agents from the Diocese of Guarulhos participated in the 22nd Congress of Family Pastoral of the Southern Region 1, held from September 18 to 20, 2026, in Campos do Jordão. The event brought together priests, couples, and families to discuss pastoral work and the challenges facing families in the modern world.

The congress focused on the themes of the documents *Familiaris Consortio* and *Amoris Laetitia*. Participants discussed how pastoral care can better support the various situations families face today. The Diocese of Guarulhos sent representatives to join the discussions on pastoral conversion and the role of the Church in accompanying families.

The gathering emphasized that family ministry should function as a welcoming home for listening rather than just a provider of religious services. Attendees reflected on the mission of pastoral agents to act as guardians of life and to guide families toward God.
