35. rocznica śmierci ks. Władysława Zientarskiego

The Diocese of Gniezno marks the 35th anniversary of the death of Father Władysław Zientarski on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Father Zientarski served as the organizer and the first director of the Archive in Gniezno. He began his seminary studies in Gniezno in 1935 under rector Father Michał Kozal, who later became a bishop and martyr. After completing his philosophy studies in July 1937, he moved to the Poznań seminary to study theology, but the outbreak of war prevented him from finishing his education. During the war, he was deported to a camp in Łódź for over a year before being sent for forced labor in December 1941.
