У селі Дернів відсвяткували 360-літній ювілей храму святого великомученика Микити

The community in Derniv celebrated the 360th anniversary of the Church of Saint Great Martyr Nikita on September 20, 2026. The wooden church, originally built in 1666, is the oldest temple in the Kamianka-Buzka deanery.

Bishop Hlib Lonchyna led the festive services at the invitation of parish administrator Father Volodymyr Hryb and with the blessing of Bishop Petro Loza, the Eparch of Sokal-Zhovkva. During his sermon, Bishop Lonchyna spoke about the importance of trusting God and undergoing inner transformation. He noted that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ rather than through the works of the law.

The bishop also remarked on the restoration of the building, noting that he had visited the church 24 years ago when it was in ruins. He emphasized that the most important value of the sanctuary is the community of people who come there to pray.
