The Diocese of Bergamo will mark the eighth centenary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi with a Franciscan walk and a solemn Mass on Sunday, October 4.

The events begin at 15:30 with a Franciscan walk starting simultaneously from three historic locations: Monastero Sorelle Clarisse in Boccaleone, Convento Frati Minori Cappuccini in Borgo Palazzo, and Chiesa parrocchiale S. Antonio da Padova in Valtesse. Participants must reserve a spot through the provided link. All walkers will gather at 17:00 at the piazzale della Fara in Città Alta to walk together toward the Cathedral.

The Bishop of Bergamo will preside over a solemn Mass at the Cathedral at 18:00. Celebrations continue on Saturday, October 10, with a concert titled L’Infinitamente piccolo performed by the Coro Effatà at 20:45 at the Auditorium del Seminario di Bergamo.
