40th Anniversary — World Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi

The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa will observe the 40th anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Peace on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The anniversary commemorates the 1986 gathering in Assisi where religious leaders met to pray for peace under the leadership of St. John Paul II.

The diocese has scheduled a Holy Mass at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral in Chalan Kanoa. The liturgy will be followed by a Holy Hour and a prayer for world peace. All parishioners and community members are invited to attend the event.
