5ème Festival de l’écologie à l’abbaye de Saint-Jacut

The Abbey of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer will host its fifth ecology festival from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11, 2026. This year's event centers on the theme of whether people can still experience wonder in the face of global chaos, including conflict, nationalism, and abandoned climate commitments.

The festival begins with an inaugural lecture by eco-philosopher Michel Maxime Egger. The program includes two roundtables and various workshops designed to help participants move past the shock caused by geopolitical issues and their impact on biodiversity and climate change.

Organizers are partnering with several groups, including the weekly publication La Vie, the association Les Amis de La Vie, and movements such as Chrétiens Unis pour la Terre, CMR (Chrétiens dans le Monde Rural), CCFD-Terre Solidaire, the CMMC (Communauté Mondiale pour la Méditation Chrétienne), CVX (Communauté Vie Chrétienne), and Lutte & Contemplation.
