6 ottobre 2026: a Pompei l’Incontro dei Presbiteri della Campania

Priests from the Campania region will meet in Pompeii on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, to discuss the current state of the priesthood in Italy. Organized by the Campania Episcopal Conference, the gathering will take place at the Sanctuary of Pompeii in the Sala Trapani starting at 9:30 a.m.

The meeting will focus on the theme of priestly life in Italy today, specifically looking at existing crises and opportunities. Archbishop Erio Castellucci of Modena-Nonantola is scheduled to speak during the event.

The organizers intend for the meeting to serve as a space for community discernment. The goal is to help priests respond to the call to be servants of hope and to work together to build a Church with a more evangelical character.
