Паведамленне з 98-а пленарнага пасяджэння Канферэнцыі Каталіцкіх Біскупаў Беларусі

The Conference of Catholic Bishops of Belarus held its 98th plenary session in Grodno on September 18, 2026, to discuss religious and economic matters affecting the Church in Belarus.

Bishops decided to join a prayer for peace on October 27, 2026, and issued a special communiqué regarding the event. They also discussed the European Youth Meeting in Lodz, Poland, from December 28, 2026, to January 1, 2027, and World Youth Day in Seoul, South Korea, from August 3 to 8, 2027. Working groups were created to plan for these events and determine if representatives from Belarus can participate.

The session included Archbishop Józef Stankewski, president of the conference, and Bishop Yuriy Kasabučki, general secretary. Other attendees included Bishop Alieksandr Yatsheŭski, Bishop Alieksandr Butkievič, Bishop Uladzimir Hulaj, Bishop Antoni Dziamyanka, Bishop Andriej Znioska, Archbishop Tadeuszus Kandrusievič, Father Lavoncy Tumouski, the newly appointed Apostolic Administrator for Greek Catholics in Belarus, and Archimandrite Siarhiej Haiek.
