A Child’s Questions Inspire a Story of Faith

Heidi McCormack published her first children's book, Marion, Faith & Ice Cream, to help children recognize God's presence in the world. The book was inspired by questions about God asked by her eight-year-old granddaughter, Marianne.

Geared toward children ages 3 to 7, the story follows a family including Maria, Will, and their four children: Marianne, Emilia, Jane, and John. McCormack, a member of St. John Vianney Parish in Brookfield, wrote the book to connect faith to sensory experiences that children can observe. The narrative includes elements like eagles, ice cream, and the beaches of Door County.
