A Church Renewed in Faith and Mission

Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha invites members of the Diocese of Fall River to nominate young men for the priesthood during Masses on October 3 and 4. The Bishop is looking for unmarried men between the ages of 15 and his 30s who demonstrate leadership, faith, and a desire to serve.

Nominated individuals will receive a letter from the Bishop and follow-up resources from the Vocation Office. The Diocese of Fall River has used its Called by Name program over the last two years to connect with 326 young men, resulting in increased participation in discernment groups and vocation events. The diocese currently has six men in formation, including one new seminarian.

Additionally, the diocese will hold its annual Respect Life Mass on Sunday, October 11, at 10:30 a.m. The service will take place at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in Fall River to pray for the dignity of every person.
