The Holy Family Latin Parish school in Gaza has reopened for the new school year. This reopening serves as a sign of hope for the local Christian community in the Holy Land as they attempt to restore daily routines despite the ongoing conflict.

In a message released for the start of the school year, Catholic bishops in the Holy Land, led by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, stated that returning to school can no longer be taken for granted in many parts of the region due to war, displacement, and the destruction of classrooms.

Father Gabriel Romanelli, the parish priest of the Holy Family Latin Parish, commented on a proposal to nominate the children of Gaza for the Nobel Peace Prize. He described the candidacy as a symbolic gesture intended to draw global attention to the plight of all children living in war zones.
