À Manawan : construire des liens de confiance en territoire atikamekw

Father Krzysztof Syga-Nowak has served the Atikamekw community of Manawan since 2022 by maintaining a regular presence at the Saint-Jean-de-Brébeuf mission. To reach the mission, he drives several hours from the Notre-Dame-des-Montagnes parish rectory in Saint-Michel-des-Saints via a forest road.

During his stays of approximately 2 days per week, Father Syga-Nowak visits people in the village, attends prayer evenings, celebrates Mass, and organizes retreats based on demand. He also visits the sick. The Diocese of Joliette reports that his experience has transformed his perspective on his ministry within the community.
