The Diocese of Győr Family Commission held a lecture as part of its Parent-School series to help families navigate the challenges of raising children in the digital age. During the session, Father László discussed the social and psychological impacts of pornography, noting that a vast majority of young people encounter such content at an early age.

The presentation explained the connection between brain function and addiction by distinguishing between the limbic system, which manages instinctive emotional responses, and the prefrontal cortex, which handles conscious decision-making. Father László stated that parents hold the most important tools for prevention and struggle through open, trusting communication and by naming issues directly. He advised parents to address the dangers of pornography early to protect their children and provided practical methods and literature to help families discuss sensitive topics at home or within their communities.

The Parent-School program will continue to support families with daily parenting challenges. The next lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 18.00 in the main hall of the Brenner János Hittudományi Főiskola. Mental health professional Dr. Csilla Dulácska will present on how to maintain a good relationship with a young adolescent daughter.
