The Diocese of Cremona is reflecting on the impact of the severe storm that struck the city on August 28. While officials are currently assessing the material losses, the diocese noted that counting the damage is not enough to address the situation.

The storm brought wind, water, and hail that destroyed cars, uprooted trees, damaged homes, and stripped roofs. The weather also damaged several symbolic locations within the city. Dozens of people required emergency medical care following the event, and the full extent of the material consequences remains to be determined.
