Abp Gallagher: no agreement is born without willingness to meet

Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher stated that no agreement can be reached without a willingness to meet. Speaking on the tasks of diplomats, he noted that diplomacy does not create peace on its own, but it can prepare the human, political, and legal conditions necessary for peace to take root.

Gallagher also addressed the concept of Libertas Ecclesiae, explaining that it is not a corporate privilege. Instead, he said it guarantees the Church the freedom required to carry out its mission and protects the communal and institutional aspects of religious freedom.
