Abusi, le parole della prevenzione: le aree di intervento

The Diocese of Milano has identified five essential areas of intervention to promote effective prevention of abuse within dioceses, religious movements, associations, and institutes.

These priority areas include fostering cultural change through widespread information in communities and diocesan media, as well as providing educational and training investments for staff and members of all Church realities. The diocese also calls for the reform of systemic theological and structural aspects by using an interdisciplinary approach that combines theology, law, and human sciences.

To support those affected, the diocese emphasizes the need for listening, accompaniment, and care for victims. This involves providing information, advice, and support, while implementing both canonical and civil procedures to help victims seek justice. Finally, the plan includes therapy and rehabilitation for abusers and providing support for communities traumatized by abuse situations.
