ACU expands its campus in Rome
Australian Catholic University is expanding its Rome campus to serve as a year-round center for research, executive education, and international partnerships. The expansion aims to strengthen the university's presence in Europe and create connections between Europe, Australia, and the Indo-Pacific.
The multi-purpose campus will support collaboration with European and Pontifical universities, Church institutions, and other international partners. According to Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Julie Cogin, the site will grow professional education in fields such as artificial intelligence, safeguarding, health, education, and social cohesion.
The university will also launch the ACU Rome Research Exchange to host visiting researchers, support doctoral links, and facilitate joint research projects. Professor Darius von Güttner, the ACU Rome Academic Director, stated the expansion is intended to make the campus a practical connection point for scholars.
