Administrador Apostólico Apolinar Mbo gives the Cross of the mission to pastoral agents

Apostolic Administrator Apolinar Mbo presented the Cross of the mission to priests, catechists, and pastoral leaders during the opening Mass for the 2026/2027 pastoral year in the Diocese of Ebebiyín. The ceremony, held at the cathedral, included religious communities, word delegates, and agents traveling from distant parishes and villages.

During the rite of sending, leaders of various evangelization centers approached the presbytery to receive the missionary Cross. After the blessing, these agents took on the responsibility of organizing missions according to the diocesan pastoral project. This plan seeks to address social vulnerability and the spread of sects in the region.

In his address, Mbo described the local reality as being affected by illiteracy, poor healthcare, and rural flight. He charged the pastoral agents to act as committed announcers of the Gospel to the people.
