AfD, rappresentanza o distorsioni?

Catholic analyst Chris Caldwell describes how a political crisis in Germany led to the recent victory of the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt.

Caldwell notes that while Germany was once a dominant export power built on low-cost Russian energy, cheap labor from Central Europe, and demand for automobiles and industrial machinery, voters grew increasingly dissatisfied with the CDU and SPD parties. He suggests that voters felt the same parties remained in power regardless of their choices during the era of Angela Merkel.

The report mentions that former Berlin finance official Thilo Sarrazin argued in his 2010 book, Deutschland schafft sich ab, that mass migration was a primary factor undermining the German economy through poor investment choices.
