Alluvione del 1966, la Compagnia delle Seggiole torna al Niccolini

The Compagnia delle Seggiole will return to the Teatro Niccolini on November 4, 2026, for a dramatized reading about the 1966 Florence flood. The performance marks the 60th anniversary of the flood and follows a previous presentation at the same venue held in 2016 to commemorate the 50th anniversary.

The production is based on an idea by Massimo Sandrelli and is curated by Sandro Bennucci, Marcello Mancini, and Sandrelli, with a text adapted by Sabrina Tinalli. The performance serves to preserve the memory of the flood for new generations. In previous years, the group also performed the show at the Basilica of Santa Croce on November 5, 2023, to mark the 57th anniversary of the disaster.
