An event guide for the beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

St. Louis will host the beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen on Sept. 24, 2026. The beatification Mass is scheduled to take place at the Dome at America’s Center, and tickets for the event remain available.

A series of preparatory events includes a morning of prayer and reflection, as well as various Masses. From Sept. 15 to Sept. 23, the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Peoria, Illinois, is hosting a nine-day novena of evening Holy Hours. These sessions begin at 7 p.m. CDT and are organized by Catholic leaders from the Diocese of Peoria and other regions. The cathedral is the location where Archbishop Sheen was ordained and where his remains are entombed.

Most of the scheduled events will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. The Diocese of Peoria is archiving the Holy Hour sessions on its YouTube channel.
