Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna welcomes three new members to the Cathedral Chapter

Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna welcomed three new members to the Cathedral Chapter of Malta. During the ceremony, the archbishop told the new members that their service would serve as a testimony to priestly fraternity based on truth and love.

Scicluna noted that while the new members already hold important roles within the diocese, their participation in the Cathedral Chapter connects them more closely to the mission of the archdiocese. He described the new members as his collaborators. He also highlighted the historical importance of the Cathedral Chapter, noting that the body has traditionally managed the responsibilities of the diocese in the absence of a bishop.

The archbishop urged the new members to manage the large patrimony of the chapter with unity, charity, prudence, and freedom. He encouraged them to reflect on a recent speech by Pope Leo XIV regarding the courage to verify truth.
