Archbishop José Ángel Saiz Meneses presides over Solemn Function in Sevilla

Archbishop José Ángel Saiz Meneses presided over a solemn Mass for María Santísima de Regla at the Church of the Misericordia in Seville on Sunday, September 27. The liturgy marked the 14th anniversary of the image's canonical coronation and concluded the 425th anniversary celebrations of the Los Panaderos brotherhood.

During his homily, Archbishop Saiz Meneses told the brotherhood members to remain faithful to Jesus Christ, the Church, and the poor. He stated that a brotherhood must exist to glorify God, sanctify its members, announce Jesus Christ, and serve others rather than seeking personal prestige or engaging in rivalries. He also encouraged the group to serve the people of Seville.

The Church of the Misericordia is located near the San Juan de Dios dining hall and the Pumarejo dining hall, both of which the brotherhood regularly supports.
