Archbishop Lori delivers homily

Archbishop William E. Lori spoke about the purpose of religious formation during a homily at the Mass of the Holy Spirit.

Lori stated that formation prepares people to continue the mission and ministry of Jesus. He identified this mission as preaching the Word of God, sharing the new life won by Christ, and providing reconciliation and healing. He also described the ministry as a way to liberate people from the powers of sin and death and the downward pressure of the flesh.
