Archbishop Ulrich offers overview of Archdiocese of Paris (L'Osservatore Romano (Italian))

Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris provided an overview of the Church in France through an article in the Vatican newspaper, ahead of Pope Leo XIV's apostolic journey to the country.

Ulrich noted that the Archdiocese of Paris includes 106 parish churches along with various educational and charitable institutions. He highlighted a rise in baptisms, stating that the number of adults receiving the sacrament grew from 370 in 2010 to 800 this year.

The archbishop said the Church must accompany these new believers and integrate them into pastoral communities during their early years of Christian life. He added that these men and women will likely transform the character of many parishes in the coming years.
