Archdiocese Launches “Love–Until the Last Breath” Campaign
The Archdiocese of Milwaukee will launch a monthlong campaign titled Love – Until the Last Breath to educate Catholics about assisted suicide and encourage parishes to support those who are suffering. The campaign begins Oct. 3-4 during Respect Life Weekend.
During the launch, every parish is asked to share a video message from Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob before Mass or include a letter from him in the parish bulletin. Throughout October, the archdiocese will provide bulletin advertisements, social media materials, online resources, and presentations.
The archdiocese announced the campaign to pastors, priests, and parish staff on Sept. 16, stating that Archbishop Grob is deeply concerned about assisted suicide. The effort follows recent legislative activity, including the introduction of assisted suicide legislation in Wisconsin and the recent implementation of the End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act in Illinois. The archdiocese told parishes that if new legislation is introduced in Wisconsin after Jan. 1, 2027, it will provide additional resources to help them inform parishioners.
