Archdiocese of Bucureşti starts new online biblical formation course

The Archdiocese of Bucureşti is starting a new online biblical formation course for the laity titled Tuesday Evenings with the Bible and the Holy Fathers of the Church. The program, organized by the Office for Biblical Pastoral Care and the Nazareth Biblical School, will meet online twice a month.

The course coincides with the 2026–2027 pastoral year and the 20th anniversary of the Nazareth Biblical School. Archbishop Aurel Perca described this period as a time for prayer, gratitude, and pastoral renewal, noting that the year also marks 800 years since the founding of the Diocese of Milcov.

Participants will listen to professors and guest speakers to study the Bible and the reflections of the Holy Fathers. The program aims to help laypeople understand the Word of God more deeply so they can live it and share the Gospel.
