Arcidiocesi di Ancona-Osimo holds diocesan conference

The Archdiocese of Ancona-Osimo held a diocesan conference on September 19 at the Santa Maria di Loreto parish to discuss implementation guidelines for the synodal path in Italy. The event, titled "Rooted and Built in Christ," brought together parishes, ecclesial groups, movements, diocesan offices, catechists, and religion teachers to reflect on the future direction of the local Church.

Monsignor Gianpiero Palmieri, the Archbishop of Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto-Ripatransone-Montalto, served as the speaker for the meeting. Diocesan synodal path representatives Lucia Panzini and Daniele Sandroni opened the conference by stating that the recent years of the process helped communities practice a style of synodality based on listening, dialogue, and community discernment.

Archbishop Angelo Spina reviewed the progress of the process since it began in 2021. Following the initial listening phase and the 2023-2024 discernment phase, the process has moved into a prophetic phase to identify specific choices and concrete proposals for the Church.
