Arquidiocese de Curitiba to celebrate Missionary Month with Mass at Santuário Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe

The Archdiocese of Curitiba will celebrate the opening of Missionary Month with a Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on October 3.

The Church in Brazil observes October as a time dedicated to mission. The 2026 Missionary Campaign uses the theme "One in Christ, united in mission" and the motto "So that the world may believe." This year's celebrations also mark the centenary of World Mission Day, which was established in 1926.

The campaign is promoted by the Pontifícias Obras Missionárias in communion with the Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil. It encourages baptized Catholics to renew their commitment to evangelization and solidarity with the universal mission of the Church. The 2026 message emphasizes three dimensions for missionary life: being united in Christ, living united in mission, and carrying out the mission in love.
