Arquidiocese de Florianópolis participates in Pastoral da Educação meeting in Brasília

The Archdiocese of Florianópolis participated in the 23rd National Meeting of the Pastoral of Education and the 13th National Meeting of Religious Education held from September 18 to 20 in Brasília. Eduardo Bugs Gonçalves, a lay educator recently appointed by Archbishop Wilson Tadeu Jönck to coordinate the archdiocesan Pastoral of Education, represented the Archdiocese at the event.

The meetings took place at Casa Dom Luciano and were held jointly with shared programming. The National Meeting of Religious Education returned after a 10 year hiatus to support the Church's efforts to evangelize through education. Approximately 120 participants attended, including bishops, priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, and laypeople from across Brazil.

The gatherings featured speakers such as Archbishop Gregório Paixão, Bishop Francisco Agamenilton Damascena, and Bishop Dimas Lara Barbosa. The theme for the meetings was "Educating with the heart of the Master: drawing new maps of hope."
