Así será el Viaje Apostólico de León XIV a Uruguay, Argentina y Perú

Pope Leo XIV will visit Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru from November 6 to 17 for his first apostolic journey to South America. The Holy See Press Office released the itinerary on September 21, detailing a twelve day trip through ten cities that includes meetings with government officials, social representatives, and local Church communities.

The visit begins in Uruguay, where the Pope will stay from November 6 to 8. He is scheduled to visit Montevideo, Paysandú, and Florida. In Montevideo, he will visit the Our Lady of Guadalupe parish in the Casavalle neighborhood. On November 8, Leo XIV will celebrate Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Florida, National Sanctuary of the Virgin de los Treinta y Tres, coinciding with a national pilgrimage organized by the Uruguayan bishops.

The journey, which was originally announced on August 5 following invitations from heads of state and Church authorities, will conclude in Lima, Peru. The trip will also include stops in Argentina.
