Assembleia dos Bispos e 45ª Assembleia do Povo de Deus serão realizadas na próxima semana em Guarapuava (PR)

The Diocese of Guarapuava will host the 2nd annual Assembly of Bishops and the 45th Assembly of the People of God from September 23 to 27. The bishops' assembly begins late Wednesday, September 23, with a mass at the Casa de Líderes Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe and continues through midday Friday, September 25. The Assembly of the People of God will follow on the afternoon of September 25 and run until Sunday, September 27.

The meeting includes archbishops and bishops from the 18 archdioceses and dioceses of the CNBB Regional Sul 2. Father Edson Zamiro da Silva, president of the Regional Commission of Priests, and Father Marcos Paulo Honório da Silva, executive secretary of CNBB Sul 2, will also attend.

During the assembly, bishops will discuss several topics, including the Saint Paul VI Mission in Guinea-Bissau, preparations for the 7th American Missionary Congress scheduled for Curitiba in November 2029, and reflections on new Church documents.
