Ballinora Parish celebrates its fortieth anniversary
Bishop Fintan Gavin led a Mass last weekend to mark the 40th anniversary of Ballinora Parish. Established 40 years ago as a small parish on the edge of Cork city, the community has grown since its founding.
During the celebration, Bishop Gavin thanked the priests, parishioners, and those who shared their faith and gifts to build the community. He welcomed former parish priest Fr. Declan Mansfield and remembered former parish priests Fr. William Dinneen and Canon Donal Linehan.
Fr. Alan O'Leary, Co-PP and Moderator of the Family of Parishes, attended the Mass alongside former parish priest Fr. John Collins and Deacon Frank MacKevitt.
