Basílica de San Pedro culmina restauración de los mosaicos de una de sus capillas más antiguas

St. Peter's Basilica has finished restoring the mosaics in the dome of the Clementine Chapel. The project, which took place between May 2025 and September 2026, marks part of the commemorations for the 400th anniversary of the basilica's consecration.

The restoration work included mosaics such as the one depicting the coat of arms of Pope Clement VIII. The Fabbrica di San Pietro oversaw the work in the chapel, which is noted for its ornate decorations.
